FRIEZE ART FAIR 2013
This fall London anticipates the opening of their most esteemed fall art fair— The Frieze Art Fair. This upcoming Frieze project will also debut Nicolas Lees as the new leading curator at Frieze. Lees has developed a program that resolves dialogues between play, governance, sovereignty, and how contemporary art functions as a space that illuminates these exchanges. This year Frieze London will also include site-specific commissioned pieces by Andreas Angelidakis, Gerry Bibby, Rivane Neuenshwander, Ken Okiishi, Angelo Plessas, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, and Josef Strau. The London Frieze Art Fair is unique in that it is also the platform for Embash Award, which each year accredits emerging artists outside of the UK to successfully present new material at Frieze London. Frieze Projects aggregates up and coming artists in a unique context. The artists commissioned by Frieze London witness the transformation of their work in an exceptional environment. Frieze London begins on October 17th, and will close on October 20th. This will be the tenth consecutive year that Frieze London is sponsored by Deutsche Bank.
